This mask itself really does its job splendidly. It’s low-volume face mask that fits on my face completely, giving me greater field of view for my surroundings. The strap fastener on both attributes has small button that you could press to release the lock, which makes it much easier to loosen/tighten the strap.
The fact it is frameless which means glass is actually the main thing responsible for its shape. It has an incredibly low. When your face mask floods, it takes very little air to empty it.
No more forced-pulling of mask above the head and tangles and pulls with all the hair.
Cressi Panoramic 4 Window Dive Mask - Red / BlackFree shipping
- 4 lens panoramic design.
- Tempered glass with high quality silicone.
- Lightweight, silicone skirt fits wide range of facial shapes.
- Great for snorkeling and diving.
This particular mask is reasonably priced and quite comfortable. The lenses are very clear. Fits my face comfortably that’s somewhat large. Comfortable head band even when not having a neoprene cover. The panoramic view doesn’t really bring anything to the view except a bit more light. I completely prefer it over my non panoramic Cressi diving mask.
I didn’t run into any difficulty with leaking or fitting either. I just wish the side windows didn’t distort everything so much to the point where it is useless to look in your peripheral vision.
Mask is high quality and has an excellent feel for the retail price. Top shelf stuff for $40.

- Offers the Best Fit & Performance for the Greatest Variety of Facial Shapes
- Lightweight & Easy to Clear
- Swiveling Quick Adjust Buckles

- An Excellent Value Mask
All the rubber parts are clear while the frame is blue and black. That is indeed an excellent mask for about $32. The fit is quite comfortable. It fogs a bit and leaks a little (rarely) but pretty much all diving masks have that issue.
It works great with replacement lenses! They are good to see clearly underwater. The mask is relatively inexpensive because the lenses will surely cost more than your mask (the mask gives you Plano lenses in it, for those who do not require the prescription-type lenses).

The Raven has a significantly larger glass, which equates to a larger field view. It also has a quick-remove strap that snaps in securely and enables you to put it on without tearing out hair.
It fits well which is very comfortable. The purchase price for this mask is amazing. The snorkel has a valve to help you blow water out the bottom and has a floater piece that keeps water out even when the snorkel is actually submerged under water.
It doesn’t leak, it’s very secure, it has a double seal, and the field of view is huge. Definitely recommended.

This mask fits well plus the prescription is great. I recently used them for a dive in Belize and was pretty pleased with its top notch quality. This product is well made and I would recommend it to anyone who’s wanting to buy one. If you are buying a snorkel to accompany it, get the Cressi Supernova Dried Snorkel.
We would highly advocate these to anyone in need of prescribed underwater optical products! You can’t go wrong with the price either.
Mares i3 3-Window Scuba Diving Mask
- PADI Master Scuba Diving Instructor Owned and Operated.
- This Product Comes Complete With A Full Manufacturer Warranty.
This is a very comfortable mask with great visibility because of the transparent side panels. The mask’s “liquid skin” is a plus and I have no leakage whatsoever even when I am just snorkeling. Also, the strap is extra wide in the back.
Fogs up like most other masks without the appropriate spray but the seal is tight along with the angled side glass allows for a great a hundred and eighty degree field of vision using only minor overlap for the peripherals. Great for deep dives since the mask allows maximum light to come in.
Scubapro Spectra Mini Mask - BlackFree shipping
- Dual-Lens, Low volume for clearing convenience, yet designed for maximum visibility.
- Bold colors, including two duotones
- Smaller, super comfortable fit for a smaller face shapes.
- Tempered glass for safety and durability.
- EZ equalize nose pocket
The twin lenses are usually shaped like upside down tear drops to increase the field of view and in addition raked in at the bottom to both boost lower visibility and reduce the internal volume. The silicone skirt features two ‘bubbles’ on both sides of the nose section which allows it to adjust freely.
The simple buckle system runs on the pinch mechanism to release the mask straps. The whole buckle assemblage is fitted straight away to the silicone skirt to further improve the fit and freedom.
A quality dive mask from ScubaPro as usual. Highly recommended.
Mares X-Vision Liquidskin 13 Scuba and Snorkeling Mask (Black/Black)Free shipping
- Field of vision increased by an astounding 20%
- New anatomical skirt provides superior fit and seal
- Vibrant new colors
This fits my face very well and is sealed nicely. It sealed so well I was compelled to equalize the pressure underwater. The strap mechanism is a bit weird and seem to loosen on their own if enough force is applied, but alternatively, they can always be tightened easily once you get the hang of it. The field of vision seriously isn’t obstructed by any portion of this dive mask.
So on the whole, I’m very pleased with the Mares X-Vision – the most effective mask in this price bracket.
Aqua Lung Atlantis Single Lens Dive MaskFree shipping
- High-volume single lens masks gives an excellent field of view
- Available only in black, with black silicone skirt
- Silicone skirt delivers an improved fit and more secure seal against the skin
- Shatterproof, tempered glass lens suitable for diving and snorkeling
This mask is really good as it is quite low profile and unobtrusive. There is no nose bridge to block the vision and hence the field of view is good. You must try them on first to check nose clearance and peripheral vision. Black color blocks sunlight from causing glare and reflection. The mask is a bit on the bulky side.
If your training for the military, then it’s a great mask for diving training and underwater combat.I might suggest getting some anti fog about them if you are thinking about diving for longer periods of time. If you need a diving diving mask built for a big face, this is the mask you should go for.
This mask is over all an excellent buy. Highly Recommended.
Aqua Lung Pacifica Single Lens Dive MaskFree shipping
- Single lens mask gives an excellent field of view
- Delivers an improved fit and more secure seal against the skin
- Shatterproof, tempered glass lens
- One-Way Purge Valve for Hands-Free Mask Clearing
- Easy-to-Reach Nose Pockets for Ear Equalization
This mask fits my face well. It is very comfortable and doesn’t leak whatsoever. It has some sort of purge valve in fact it is a somewhat excessive volume mask. If it fits see your face & you get yourself a good seal from it (it has a double-seal about the skirt except beneath nose / pinch pockets) & the idea feels comfortable, you will most probably love it.
Overall, good for divers that have a big face and who favor a tad bit more volume in their diving masks.
Hollis M1 Frameless Scuba Diving Freediving/Spearfishing Dive MaskFree shipping
- Frameless 100% pure silicon skirt
- Saint-Gobain Diamant - Crystal Clear Lens
- Wide vision and low volume
The mask is good but a bit highly priced considering there are many diving masks that are way better in lower price brackets. Water kept leaking in and it didn’t fit my nose properly. Not great for wide noses, but besides that it is a freaking wonderful mask. Top high quality glass and great components. You get a genuinely wide field of view.
It does require defogging from time to time. Exceptional product overall.

This mask from ScubaPro is probably the most comfy. Overall fit is good and sits in your face well. Used about five times and also the silver paint looks like it’s coming off. Never leaked any time we dived with it. The Trufit technology is quite innovative and fits different face types easily.
A quality scuba mask from ScubaPro. Recommended.

The head strap is easy to adjust making for a superior seal around the face. So far I am very impressed with the overall design and also functionality.

Wonderful mask for diving and snorkeling. The filter on the mask is really good. It’s very flexible and fits my face. The mask is black and hence better than clear ones that rub your sunscreen off. No leaking was experienced while diving with this mask.
All Atomic products are built according to the scuba industry standard. Recommended.
Atomic Aquatics Venom Dive Mask, ARCFree shipping

It has an extremely comfortable fit and a good wide view. Atomic Venom is usually considered a quality single lens Scuba Mask money can buy. Its expensive, however, in this event, you get that which you pay for plus a company that offers lifetime warranty for any defects! Incredible peripheral vision and completely comfy. I have never ever had any seal issues. Great dive mask.
How to Buy the Right Diving Mask
A diving mask is characterized by a perfect fit on the face. It leaves no painful pressure points, is not too loose and does not allow water to come in. How to select the perfect fit –
- Air inhaled through the nose must hold even without masking tape to the face mask.
- A mask should not be too close to sit on the eyebrows and eye.
- The frame of the mask must not press against the nose.
- The nose must have enough space in the nose pocket.
Large field of view
Always keeping track of your surroundings is extremely important in diving. The prerequisites for a suitable mask is the widest possible field of vision of the mask. Here, the field of vision is not limited to the areas left and right of the diver, but also includes the part below. The easier and faster you can look down (without contorting yourself), the faster you can access important diving equipment.
Small internal volume
The smallest possible internal volume is at a mask in several ways helpful – Firstly, you need the mask clearing less air and secondly, the field of view is larger because the glass is closer to the eyes.
The masking tape is necessary to keep the mask on the face. Important requirements are that it is stable and keeps the mask without constricting in place. For this purpose, a broad part at the back is necessary. The mask should be operable even when wearing thick neoprene or dry diving gloves.
Some divers replace the normal masking tape by a neoprene, which is attached with velcro. The neoprene mask strap reduces the risk of tearing, but it is a lot less flexible and adjustable.
Material and color
The soft parts of the mask are usually made of silicon which may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and from mask to mask. These mixtures are intended to bring a more comfortable feel and better protection. Unlike the soft silicon, mask frame should be stable and unbreakable.
The color is your own preference. Whether colored or clear silicone is irrelevant. Especially cave divers and photographers prefer a black mask body, so that lights don’t get reflected in the mask.
The disadvantage of clear silicone is that this becomes cloudy with prolonged use and gets discolored.
Whether you use one or two glass masks, each itself to decide. It is only important that the glass breakage safety reasons and scratch resistant ( “tempered”) is. There may be no means to plastic glass!
For eyeglass wearers there are several ways to compensate for their low vision underwater. Wearing contact lenses is possible, but you can end up losing them. It is better to make use of optical glasses. Glasses are mask-specific and there are not ready-made solutions from all manufacturers. Should it be so, one should consult an optician in doubt and ask for advice.
